Investing and fundraising in affiliate marketing

Is there a marketplace for affiliates to find investors?

What about investors that want to invest in affiliate marketers?

We at least know what the iGaming space looks like for investment given that we are finalists for the Xanada Pitch Contest 2025. BTW you have until May 2nd to vote here so if you can, please vote here for StatsDrone.

10 years ago, I was wondering where affiliates would be able to find investors to fundraise to accelerate a business.

Sure enough, these are things you just don’t Google like “directory of affiliate marketing investors”. Even if this search result existed, you likely wouldn’t trust it.

Truth is, that search result gets you a lot of finance and investment affiliate programs.

I knew there were investors in the background but I felt this was a networking gig that I didn’t know any of these people.

Today, I’d say perhaps investors are a little bit more accessible but I still believe networking is everything.

Since SEO is as volatile as it is, I think investors might have less of an appetite for investing into affiliates unless they are unique products and/or services. Those are the types of affiliate assets that are getting acquired like OddsJam for a cool $160M USD for example.

The SaaS space already has a number of interesting networks for M&A, debt financing and of course raising capital. In SaaS, it has been a hot thing to do in the last 5 to 10 years.

There are companies like Capchase and Founderpath that help you keep your equity and give you loans. Those loans however are based on you having some MRR numbers.

Flippa Invest marketplace

One marketplace that we definitely know that exists that not only does M&A for affiliate sites but now they have Flippa Invest

As someone that’s been in the Flippa marketplace for buying and selling of affiliate sites, it is a great marketplace.

We are looking to consider adding an M&A affiliate marketplace to connect buyers and sellers. At the moment we have these deals happening just from networking with various affiliates including some of our users.

Fundraising tips

For most affiliates, I think you can and should bootstrap your business. However if you feel investment will help the business grow, then consider it.

One person I’d recommend all day long when it comes to pitching and creating a pitch deck is Benjamin Peleg.

He was helpful for us in our first round of raising money for our company.

Going back to Flippa Invest, what I like about their marketplace is that they’ll have an investing or M&A pro critique your pitch deck. They are successful when you are successful so this is definitely worth the effort and hassle to see if you’ve got a good idea.

If they like the idea, it isn’t that you can pay to get exposed to investors but they want pitch decks and proposals that have a good chance of success.

If you’re in the iGaming space and you think you’d want investors for your affiliate program or anything else in iGaming, DM me. I can connect you with some good people and of course an easy recommendation of someone to talk to is Vladimir Malakchi from Xanada.
